Combined cabins are a specialized product intended for the liquid coating industry. Depending on the available space, the dimensions of the pieces as well as the technology of the application process, drying and maintaining the climatic conditions of the room, several models of combined cabins differ. In principle, in all combined cabins, air is extracted through filters that collect paint, and in order to make up for the lack of air in the room, additional air is blown in at the same time for some 15% more than the amount of exhaust air. This simple concept is the basis of every combination booth – paint chamber.
Differences arise when such cabins are specially designed according to the requirements of investors and their production areas. They are used for painting rail vehicles, aircraft, construction and agricultural machinery, military vehicles, wooden furniture, cars and many other products. The modular type of these cabins enables parallel or linear production, and the possibility of application aids in the form of elevators, specialized painting equipment and robotic arms/systems makes this kind of system highly productive and flexible.
Depending on the type of finishing layer, i.e. colors, it is necessary to respect certain climatic conditions and their control at a given moment. The ventilation system regulates the heating, cooling and humidifying stations that require a large amount of energy to maintain the strictly prescribed climatic conditions of painting, evaporation and drying of the paint. One of the factors that is mainly related to all power and consumption coefficients are the dimensions of the combined cabin. Thus, it is very important to take into account the entire production program and future activities so that the relationship between need, investment and energy consumption is in harmony.
Due to new energy efficiency regulations as well as environmental impact, there was a change in filter technology for collecting excess paint. Cardboard paint filters are the most economical solution with minimal investment in maintenance, unlike the old water curtain systems. AEREM (ANDREAE) cardboard filters are optimized for all needs and purposes of combined cabins. Their accordion design with surface suction and outlet side opening, enables the deposition of paint deposits inside the filter without excess deposits escaping to the outside environment.
Water curtain booths – designed with the vision of collecting large amounts of paint. The most common application is in wood industries as well as in high series production where huge amounts of paint are used. In such systems, the maintenance costs are minimal according to the effect of the amount of paint used. According to the new regulations, such cabins require waste water neutralization systems that are quite expensive to maintain. For this reason, this cabin concept is exclusively recommended for high-series productions.
